What Rushlot does with what you trust it with.

Rushlot handles your marketplace passwords and your footage. Here is exactly what that means in practice, today, not as a promise about the future.

Passwords

Your passwords stay in your computer’s secret store

On a Mac that is the Keychain. Rushlot reads a credential from it when a marketplace needs one, and never writes it into a log, a config file or a telemetry event.

Files

Your files never pass through our servers

A clip goes from your own disk to a marketplace over the transport that marketplace itself accepts (SFTP, FTPS) or through that marketplace’s own page in a browser window. Rushlot has no server in that path.

Browser steps

The browser steps run in your own browser profile, on your machine

When a marketplace has no transport of its own (Shutterstock’s sign-in code, Pond5’s CSV apply, Getty’s ESP), the app drives a real browser window signed in as you, on your computer. Nothing runs on a server on your behalf.

Challenges

No challenge is ever solved for you.

If a marketplace puts up a CAPTCHA or a sign-in challenge, the run stops and hands the window back to you. Rushlot does not solve one, and does not call an undocumented API to avoid one.

Telemetry

Telemetry is on by default, and off in one click.

On first launch the app tells you that it shares anonymous usage counts, and lets you turn them off right there or at any time in Settings; turning them off deletes what was not yet sent. Nothing is sent before you have seen that notice. What is sent is a closed catalogue of events (a step completed, a batch uploaded) and nothing else: no free text, no file name, no title, no keyword ever leaves as telemetry.

Planned, not built

A cloud counterpart, and what it does not change.

A cloud counterpart for parts of this (so a run can be started away from your Mac) is planned, not built. Nothing above changes for it: your marketplace files still move straight from a disk to a marketplace, never staged on a server of ours.
