Hervé films underwater, in French lakes such as Salagou and Parentis among other places, and sells his footage under the name Seafootage on Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, Pond5 and Getty Images. His son Thomas built Rushlot so that he could keep filming instead of filling in forms; Hervé reviews every clip before it leaves.
He writes here about the field side of stock video: shooting, what sells, rejections, editorial clips and the day-to-day of uploading. In his own words, putting 60 videos on the four marketplaces went from about forty hours to about one, and he was already using ChatGPT for the metadata before.
