Wirestock alternatives for stock footage (2026)
Wirestock now works on AI training data. Here is what its own terms and blog say changed, and the other ways to get footage onto the agencies, with the date we read each page.
At a glance
| Wirestock | Rushlot | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is now | Its home page (dated 26 October 2026) is about AI training data: paid missions and datasets “for pretraining, SFT, RL, and RLHF”. It names no agency. [1] | A Mac app for stock footage. It checks each clip, drafts the metadata from your own title, lets you review it, then uploads to your own accounts on four marketplaces. |
| Work you submit now | Since 20 January 2026, nothing submitted is licensed to marketplaces. It enters the Dataset Deals Program, with “no option to opt out”. [2] | Uploaded to your own Adobe Stock, Shutterstock, Pond5 and Getty Images accounts, where each marketplace licenses it under its own terms. |
| Work submitted before 20 January 2026 | Stays under the same terms: 85% of the royalty is passed on to you, 15% kept. [2] | Rushlot holds none of your work. Your clips sit in your own accounts. |
| Price | On work submitted before the change, it keeps 15% of the royalty. [2] | 20 clips free, no card. Then 19 € a month or 159 € a year, for 150 clips a month. No commission on your sales. |
| Leaving | After you close your account, removal from the agencies can take 90 days to a year. [2] | Nothing to remove: your clips stay in your own accounts, under your control. |
| Portfolio and marketplace | Closed in April 2026. Approved content moved to “Paid per sale” projects, content never approved was deleted, and Premium plans stopped and were refunded. [3] | None of its own: your portfolio is on each marketplace. |
| Runs on | The web. [1] | Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Windows (x64) comes after the Mac version. |
Where Wirestock does better
- It pays for AI training data work: its home page offers paid missions to create data. Rushlot pays you nothing; only the marketplaces do. [1]
- Work you submitted before 20 January 2026 stays under the same terms, 85% of the royalty to you, with nothing to upload again. [2]
- It runs in the browser, with nothing to install. Rushlot is a Mac app. [1]
Where Rushlot differs
- Your footage goes into your own marketplace accounts, under your own name.
- Your clips go from your disk to your own accounts and never pass through a Rushlot server.
- No commission: what a marketplace pays you stays yours.
- Never. You press Submit on Shutterstock, Pond5 and Getty yourself; Adobe Stock moves an SFTP delivery into review on its own. Measured on a real account, 2026-09-07

How we checked
We make Rushlot, so we are not neutral. Every fact here about another company was read on that company’s own public pages on , without signing in, creating an account or starting a trial, and each one links to its source. Facts about Rushlot come from its own product rules and this site; a cell marked Measured was read on a real contributor account. Prices and features change, so check their pages before you decide.
